Originally from Miami, Dr. Rivet moved around the country quite a bit before choosing to move to New Orleans in 1998 and attend Tulane University in New Orleans for her undergraduate degree. 

After that, she attended University of Miami for a certificate in health science. During her time in Miami, she had the unique opportunity to volunteer with a medical mission in Central America. Working alongside the trip’s only dentist sparked her passion for dental care. She loved the way that dentistry combines both art and science, and seeing the amazing difference that great dental care can make in a patient’s life.

After her trip, Dr. Rivet returned to Louisiana to train in dentistry. She attended the LSU School of Dentistry and graduated in 2010 with her dental degree. She worked in several offices before settling in New Orleans and establishing Crescent City Smiles. 

As an independent dentist, Dr. Rivet can practice dentistry with a truly patient-focused approach. She’s dedicated to transparency, patient education, and ensuring that everyone who walks through our doors has a fantastic experience under her care.

When she’s not hard at work at our office, Dr. Rivet loves spending time with her four kids and cooking new recipes at home. She also loves her adopted hometown of New Orleans and spends as much time as she can at events like Mardi Gras and Jazz Fest.

At your first visit, you’ll start by checking in with our front desk team and filling out a couple of forms. You can also fill out your forms online to simplify your check-in experience. Then, you can have a seat and relax in our comfortable waiting area.

When it’s time for your appointment, one of our dental team members will bring you back to an operating room, check your teeth, and take some X-rays. Then, Dr. Rivet will enter to check your teeth and review your X-rays. 

She’ll let you know if there are any areas of concern, and what your options are if you need further treatment. Then, as long as your teeth are healthy enough, your dental hygienist will clean, polish, and floss your teeth. This helps prevent tooth decay and gum disease and leaves your teeth bright and shiny, too.

Finally, stop by our front desk on the way out to schedule your next checkup or any other follow-up procedures you may need. That’s it! You’re all done.
